I usually check the blog before getting up each day, so...
I spent a few extra hours in bed this morning.
My boss said that wasn't a good excuse for being late to work.

You check the blog BEFORE getting up? That's impressive. But if anyone can do it, it's McDole.

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterDavid R.

I used to not go to bed until the blog was posted until it started getting posted later and later..now I just check it when I get to work!

Also, this place just opened on Greenville Ave- http://startrestaurant.net/ I tried it out this morning and it was pretty tasty! :) Not quite paleo, but you all have creative minds and can make their menu paleo by taking off a bun. They also have a drive thru. It's right by Rusty Taco! :)

Hey guys. I'm awesome and messed up on selecting the option that makes the blog autopost. So it's my bad. But you all can suck it.

K love you, have a great day!

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterBri

Atleast I'm not the only one who checks the blog before getting out of bed!!=) I cant get my day started without knowing whats going on at 214!!

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterAmanda

My day was thrown off when I was laying in bed checking the blog thinking my phone wasn't working.

But no worries Bri. Just made me adapt to a new situation.

I must have hit refresh 20 times this morning before deciding not to get out of bed because i didn't know the WOD. lol...not that i do selective WOD's :-) i was going to go only if it as a named WOD.

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered Commentercassandra

I'm going to go ahead and say thank you Bri for ensuring that awkward photo wasn't live for the full 24 hours.

Tried start last night during the opening day dinner rush. Give them a few days to work the kinks out. On the plus side, they were so backed up last night they were handing out free champagne and blueberry bread.

PR'd my backsquat last night and my clean the night before!! Thanks for the help Jose!

Back in Cleveland for the rest of the week. Ran 3.6 mi in 29:22.
Everyone have fun breaking in the new ergs.

I had a very serious 50/50 moment this morning when my alarm went off at 6:30am and I didn't know what the WOD was, but I decided to tough it out and do the 7 anyway. There were only 3 of us, but we represented.

16 reps @ 90% BW (155)
13 reps @ 90% BW (155)

Rx was full body weight, but my soreness level dictated that that would be a bit aggressive for me this morning.

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterBrutus

Rx'd @ 260 BW (13 reps and 10 reps)

I also went to Start today for lunch- it took them about 20 minutes to give me my salad-the lady did tell me they ended up running out of food last night....and ran out of some stuff today. Once they get things up and running smoothly I think it'll be a nifty little place to grab a healthy bite at a decent price.

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterAndy :)

17 and 18 reps at 155# (Rx).

Hats off to McDole for crushing this one.

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterHathorn

Basically what today has told me is that we have some motherloving cherry pickers amidst us. One week with no posting WOD's? Hmmmmmm...

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterBri

Great inspiration Crystal, insane lifting today !

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterTequila Kelly

Oly Class

Jose is a mad scientist with his lifting but he gets results!!!!

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterDerek

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterMcDole

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterCrystal

Great oly class today! Jose is an amazing teacher! I feel like every class I'm one step closer to becoming great at these lifts!!! My knee buckling issue finally clicked in my head today during class and I got it down=)

Front squat 135# (20# PR)

Great job today Kelly and crystal!! Woot woot!!

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterAmanda

My calfs are still soar from the nooner calf stretc.

Funny- today was probably one of the first days I didn't check the blog while still in bed. HA! i am totally anxious to see my WOD for the day, it gets me excited... i know i know i know, i can't hide it..... music :)

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterKristi aka "slinks"

135 # 8 reps both times

I am a big fan of checking the blog in the morning so I know what clothes to pack!! As in today packed the wrong shots and was convinced I was going to split them the whole time. I heard (felt??) the seam down the back of my shorts screaming the whole workout!!

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterErin

15 reps both sets at 165 which was Rx for me.

Then Oly class. FS 265# which is a solid 60# PR.

Not to mention that all the oly lifts continue to improve.

August 9, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterRobbie

@Derek, Thank you for that...I think
@Kelly, You know you liked all the attention! :)

Great Job today by everyone in my OLY Classes! Crushing PR's is awesome, but I'm just as proud that you all are realizing how mentally and physically strong you all are. As always Great Job!!

260# (PR) Front Squat in Oly. 45# PR from April. Six months ago (when I started crossfit) my 1RM was 200#. Work hard, eat right, mobilize and attack your weaknesses head on - it works!

Big shoutout to Renna and Rick for hitting 275 today. And derek - you're a beast. Is pairing up with Ben your secret weapon?
