Sad to miss the last OLY class last night and to miss today's surprise :(
Well, unless it's a lot of burpees, lol

I'm in BFE Oklahoma. It is SOOO freakin' quiet here, I never noticed how constantly noisy the city is......relaxing, but a little disconcerting. I also forgot how many stars there are when you can actually see them all.

Enjoy today's surprise and someone post what it was at the end of the day, please.

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterMargo

Great article! Also, no workout posted..I'm nervous. see yall at 5=)

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterAmanda

Per Margo's post, let's not have anyone post it before the end of the day...

How bout a little Queen for your Frideee?

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterTristin

So when I got to the gym and saw the workout on the board, I legitimately thought it was a joke because 1) in my half conscious state at 5:40 am, I misread the blog and thought we were supposed to be doing the foundations WOD, and 2) I thought Zach was trying to pull a bad joke on us and had thought up some nasty workout. It wasn't until we started warming up for the movements that I realized that that was the actual workout on the board.

One of my slowest mornings mentally I must say, followed by my inside out pants and whatnot... Have fun with the workout guys! :-)

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterKia Kat

Also my first class with Zach coaching. Good times - the picture of me in the fetal position on Facebook notwithstanding.

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterHamad

Great job at the 6 and 7 am classes. Seriously, crazy work.

Witnessed some people pushing themselves to the absolute extreme. Wait to be mentally tough.

In Hamad's defense, he pushed himself harder than I have ever seen him go. Aka- the fetal position picture on fb.

I haven't felt like this since my third week at Crossfit.. I didn't know if I could finish that. Bri, thanks for taking a chance on little TK, and for saving my ass from a heart attack. That was incredible, and I sincerely hope we never do it again.

WOD wasted and loving it :)

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterTequila Kelly

okie dokie 214 when can we post our time and scaling for today!? after 6pm?

On another note, I just wanted to say to all the OLY class participants that it's been incredible watching you guys get stronger so quickly. I'm so jelly. But seriously, watch out! 214's getting strong!! Be proud guys.

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterJackie O

and Kia I laughed out loud at your comment, too funny about the inside-out pants!

Please put your performances up starting at 6pm. Great job noon crew, afternoon classes... bring your A-Game!

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterTyler

Soooo angry I will end up missing today's WOD!! Gotta love late surgeons! I will see y'all tomorrow=)

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterAmanda

Damn you, Dallas traffic! You're gonna make miss this WOD! It's abnormally back up all the way to the 183/114 interchange. I'll be lucky if I'm home by 6:30 at the rate it's going!

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterAmorose

17:30 #53

When I added it up I thought I was 5 short so I did 5 more. Then realize I was right the first time!
And thank you Bri for not letting me RX. That's some good coaching right there.

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterJackie O

19:45, 53#

SO glad I didn't Rx this one and I almost thought I wasn't going to make it with scaled weight! What a great way to start off the weekend... I f-ing love this gym.

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterTriciaLew

19:00 at a measly peasly 40# because I haven't been feeling 100% this week - skipped the past two days and almost didn't come this morning bleh. Consequently I strongly considered around rep 65 about quitting the workout but oh so glad I nearly killed myself finishing it.

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterKia Kat

What was the workout..you're killing me!!!

I miss you 214!!

=:)

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterMargo

Margo, it was 100 thrusters 95/65, stopping every minute on the minute to do 5 burpees. 20 minute cap.

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterTriciaLew

Beast of WOD. Wish I was there to do it. School is starting
And the kids will be there monday whether I'm ready or not!!

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterScott

WOW! I would have most likely keeled over....

Good work guys!!

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterMargo

Brutal. Went for it Rx and paid the price.

60 reps. Great job to both Renna and Nate who crushed this WOD Rx.

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterRobbie

This can definitely go down in the books one of the memorable WODs

15:41 with 55#
(should have possibly gone up in weight!?? But I'm happy with what I did)

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterErin

Margo funny you should say that because I did keel over, then got up and clapped my hands, then promptly keeled over again. Those were the burpees. = )

Been putting in some long hours at the office and this was my first time at the box this week. Timing is everything. The workouts are always killer, but it has been a long time since I felt like I was going to DIE. Everything after the 11 minute mark is pretty fuzzy. Almost took out a friendly dropping the barbell - my apologies again.

72 reps (I think) at 85#...Good Night

August 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterStuart

87 rx.

August 25, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterDan

I didn't come close to having results that I'd want to publicise, but I just wanted to document that I "did" this WOD.

August 25, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterSeth's Bicep

Everyone that did this wod is awesome, no matter how far you got. It was as much physical as mental. Hathorne, Renna, Nate, and Meg - I saw you all go beast mode. Great work.

71 reps Rx. Better strategy for the next time....

August 25, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterGreg

This is definitely one where the odds get tougher as the minutes click by. I was absolutely INSPIRED by the mental grit I saw in the gym yesterday. This is about as tough as Crossfit gets, and so many of you came in and took this one head-on without warning. And dominated it.

I wanted to jump in at the six, after doing 2 hours of work in the morning, to join all of you who completed this one. We don't do heroes very often, but when we do, 214 stands tall.

Saludos, guys!!
