Any one else EXTREMELY sore today? I will not be in today because I am pretty sure I will just stare at the barbell. I even tried an ice bath. WOW...

Had a blast Saturday :0

Congrats to all the Europa competitors this weekend - it was a blast cheering you on and competing with you! And also to those who came out and supported our athletes on Friday and Saturday. Really appreciated the 214 cheering section in the middle of those squats..

I'm sore today too but not so much from Europa... It was so pretty outside yesterday I went running at the lake (I am not really a runner) and it was so pleasant I ended up running 5 miles! My body needs a rest. So much rest.

I am SO SO SO SO proud of everyone!! You guys did fantastic and the 214 cheer section was the bomb!!!

Guys, I'm entering one of the Garage Games events in Austin, the Athlete Open. Is anyone else interested? Basically, it's a Pentathlon with a 1mile run (effing kill me), a 400m sprint, max clean and jerk, and a couple crossfit events. Should be fun! McDole you in?!?!?

The Europa competition was awesome and everybody who competed did amazing. Thank you to everybody from 214 that came out and supported all of us.

My level of soreness is pretty amazing and Im pretty sure I can blame the squat workout. Definitely will not get to take part in this WOD today.

Bri- I am interested in this event. I may not be McDole level but I think it looks like a good event to get involved in. And then I can see you crush this thing.

August 20, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterRobbie

Good Job this weekend everyone. It was awesome so many CF214 teams giving it there all.

Take some extra time in the gym to MOB it up. After a training intense weekend make sure you treat your bodies right.

Bri is 110283013% right, not only will these Crossfit competitions be fun but will give you a chance to competitively exercise. Stuff we practice EVERYDAY! What is the worse that will happen at all these competitions, you'll get a bad ass workout?

Once again awesome jobs this weekend everyone, I was happy to be cheering and helping out.

Ok seriously I've never been this sore in my life! Saturday was so
much fun. Congrats on winning the costume contest!=) I will be in tomorrow due to not being able to move lol

August 20, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterAmanda

Had a blast with everyone on Saturday. The competition was great. But it also meant a lot to get a chance to workout with my favorite folks again! It would appear that I have missed you knuckleheads. Hope to be back on regular 214 duty starting in October.

Also, soreness: I'm moving so slow that the DFW shuttle driver asked me if I was ok... My response "I'm awesome."

Xoxo

Europa was awesome. I think everyone that competed did something they didn't think they were capable of the day prior. That was pretty cool to see.

Bri - Let me check my class schedule. I will definitely do it if I've got that weekend free.

August 20, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterMcDole

So... can't do the 8th, but I am headed down to Austin the following weekend for the Beastin' and Feastin' competition.

August 20, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterMcDole

Thank you for all the support this weekend at Europa!! I had such a blast competing and cheering on the rest of 214! Still debating whether or not my legs will allow me to step foot in the gym today. The transition from sit to stand is almost unbearable but was so worth it! May take an extra day to mobilize and get ready for the rest of the week

Congratulations to everyone that competed.

I'm in awe of everyone who competed Saturday, especially those who pushed themselves beyond what they thought possible. Becca, Crys, Amanda and Kristi come to mind. The rest of you are just Hulks and you know it.

A measly 85# clean for me, but a 95# split jerk, which is a 10# PR

3x2: 185
Jerk: 225 (PR)

August 20, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterAmorose

@Jose -- I actually saw someone pull that many 10s on a deadlift at one of the boxes I visited this month. I think he had 9 black tens per side.

Congrats to Elise - she got 5 kipping pullups this evening, doing some extra credit! Nice PR from 1 last week!

August 20, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterIan

115 clean (got greedy and failed 3/4 way through 125)
3x2 @95

115 jerk

10 and 9 on t2b. Thanks for the tips on how to string em together Zach!

August 20, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterErin

Europa was awesome! Congratulations to everyone that competed! Super proud of 214!!

Side note: Momma got her very first strict pull up this afternoon! For those who know that's a big f$*king deal for me!!!

August 20, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterBecca

Also happy to report that I can feel my legs and they can still lift. :)

August 20, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterBecca

Congrats to all of the Europa competitors. It was great watching y'all perform.

It's also great to be back to group classes.

205(20#PR) / 175
95-125-145-175-135-185(10#PR) (ran out of time on last two sets and had to do them after T2B)

T2B 35 and 10 -- I didn't do a good job saving some in the bank. And McDole, I didn't write the comment on the leaderboard. Seriously, not me.

August 20, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterHamad

While coaching class I casually walked by Alla to watch her easily clean a weight... she dropped it, I congratulate her on a great clean.

She tells me that that easily lifted weight was her previous PR. What?!?!?!? Good job Alla, wait to blow your old PR out of the water.

August 20, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterNot Zach

haha, thanks for the shout out Ian, and thanks to Eddie for helpin me figure out how to string those pull ups together :)
